My wife’s new jerb requires her to be in Charlotte at 5:30 AM 2 days a week. So the nights before, I pack her lunch and make her protein smoothie so all she needs to do is add ice and blend, get dressed, and head out. We changed the parking situation when they re-graveled our driveway because there’s now a 10-12 inch deep ditch on either side of our driveway. It’s hard to see even with the backup camera.
This morning at 5 AM she called me from a gas station, panicked. Turns out she hit the Cherokee on the way out of the driveway. I told her not to worry about it because we can either pay to fix it or call our insurance company. Still, this sucks.
That shot with the door open is as far as the passenger door will go right now.Time for an estimate I guess...

It’s a Jeep. Remove doors and carry on.

We hit our house with our car once (long story...minivan too big for garage). The insurance agent basically laughed and said “the worst situation is hitting your property with your property”
Hopefully it goes better when it’s car-on-car violence, so good luck!

Damn that sucks, backing up at 5 am is not an easy task no matter the driveway or vehicle.

Bash around in the bush a bit. You won’t notice it as much if every panel looks similarly.

It happens. My wife once snapped off a mirror on her car backing into our driveway. I think it was like $250 to replace...

Oof. That sucks. I have not yet (unintentionally) hit one of my cars with another one of my cars, but I figure it is only a matter of time. (The 80s cars occasionally get booped by each-other for the lulz because 80s bumpers) I did back into the house the other day, which was fun.

My senior year of high school my mom started to back the Dodge Durango out of the garage and didn’t notice what is now the racecar behind it. The trailer hitch left a dent in the hood of the Integra. Since I was in the process of building it into a racecar, my folks funded the one-piece race seat instead of fixing the hood. When I replaced the hood while repainting the car last year, I gave my folks the old hood to hang on the garage wall as a souvenir.

When we started driving a friend of mine had the following conversation with her dad.
Her: “Dad, I hit the BMW.”
Him: “But you were supposed to take the Peugeot.”
Her: “And I did!”

The Cherokee was just asserting it’s dominance over the little Fiat.
